All the people who used to make fun of me for liking nerdy/weird stuff in school now claim to love it “forever” and before me.
This. This is a pet peeve of mine. About anything, but nerd-stuff in this situation will bother me the worst. I remember being laughed at, ignored, teased, and shot down from numerous potential dates because I could quote Star Wars and I played computer games. Same people are now sporting fashion Empire shirts (which is fitting- since they like to be the bad guys in this here “real world”) and they seem to think that they are tech savvy gamers because they can get to level 5000 on Farmville. Obviously these are the people who don’t know what they like and are going to spend their days hopping from trend to trend, trying to fill the emptiness in their lives. I’m sure it’s annoying, but at least you know that you are following the things that make you happy, while they are too scared to do that for themselves.
You are automatically way cooler than them because you’re honest and self-confident. Go you. May the nerd be with you.
